If you missed the initial communication about our ReFocus process, catch up (1) here and (2) here.
During the Refocus Briefing & Prayer Meeting on June 4, 2017, we had the opportunity to share our desired outcomes as well as key strategies that will serve as jumping off points for our new ministry model this fall. As we work toward becoming more effective at accomplishing our God-given vision, refocusing our ministry model will be key to maximizing our impact for Him.
We feel this can be achieved through strategic changes to each of our ministry departments, which will be restructured in the following manner: Celebrating Ministries - Worship Arts, Visual Arts & Production, Programming, HospitalityConnecting Ministries - Assimilation, Affinity Groups, Home Groups, Care MinistriesContributing Ministries - Ministry Placement, Community Center/Local/Global MinistriesStudent Ministries - Sunday Night Programming for 6th Grade to 12th Grade Children’s Ministry - Sunday Morning Programming for Birth to 6th Grade
We hope that through this restructuring of departments and refocusing of strategies within each department, we will be able to accomplish our overall Desired Outcomes of:
Renewing Focus on and Execution of our Discipleship Pathway: We want to ensure that we’re intentionally and consistently connecting everything we do to making disciples. Maximizing Investment into Leaders through our Leadership Pipeline: We want to invest more intentionally in ministry leaders, group leaders, and staff.Minimizing Large Group Programming: We want to give more room to develop slowed down spirituality, long-term group connections, and more intentional community focused ministries.Engaging Millennials in the Life of our Church: We want to be as effective in reaching this age group as we have in reaching other age groups.Ensuring Financial Strength: We want to assess staffing costs, reserve levels, and our ability to make future facilities invests for both campuses.
