Ric Jacobs
Co-Lead Pastor & South Campus Pastor
A Pennsylvania native, Ric graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 1992 with a degree in Pastoral Studies. He has been married to his wife Jen since 1996, and they have eight kids, a mix of biological and adopted kids: Eric, Marcus, Bennett, Julia, Annie, Andre, Tyler & Carter. Ric has been a part of Daybreak's staff since it began in 1999, previously serving in both student ministries and worship arts ministries. He is an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans and large chocolate milkshakes. As Co-Lead Pastor, Ric helps our whole organization stay focused on our vision, and you’ll find him most Sundays serving as the Campus Pastor at our South Campus.

Shawn Andrews

A native of Ohio, Shawn was raised in Millerstown, PA. He received a BS in Mathematics from Penn State and an MA in Christian Leadership from A.W. Tozer Seminary. As an elder, Shawn helped plant Daybreak, joining staff in 2005 after working in the IT field. He is grateful for his amazing wife, Susie, and his twin adult sons, Jacob and Caleb. In his spare time, he loves to nourish his soul by motorcycle riding and hiking with friends. As Co-Lead Pastor, Shawn invests his time into leadership development, sermon series writing, and strategic development. On most Sundays, you’ll find him serving as the Campus Pastor at our North Campus.

Jason Fickes
Executive Pastor & Daybreak South Assistant Campus Pastor
Jason is a Messiah College graduate and lifelong "Mechanicsburg-er." Jason has been a full time staff member since 2005 and currently serves as our Executive Pastor, providing leadership to both Daybreak's operations and ministry systems. He also serves as Assistant Campus Pastor for our South Campus where he preaches, leads, and engages newcomers. He was Mechanicsburg's original "Jubilee Day Idol," is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and has a love for Chick-fil-A & Mission BBQ. Jason and his incredible wife Brooke have 2 sons: Weston and Everett.

Ned Keene
Pastor of Connecting Ministries & Daybreak North Assistant Campus Pastor
Ned grew up near Baltimore and holds an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, with over 20 years of ministry experience in Central Pennsylvania. He and his wife Kim have two adult children, Gareth and Aidan. Ned enjoys cheering for the Orioles and Ravens, making hot sauce, and playing fantasy football. At Daybreak, he serves as Pastor of Connecting Ministries, championing group life, and as North Campus Pastor alongside Pastor Shawn.

Ron O'Neil
Pastor of Care Ministries
Born and raised in Perry County, Ron began his career as an investigator with IBM before joining Daybreak’s staff in 2005. He has since earned a B.S. in Bible from Lancaster Bible College and was ordained through the Alliance. He and Leslie, married since 1982, are proud parents of two grown daughters, Brooke and Lauren, and joyful grandparents of five grandsons: Weston, Everett, Grayson, Isaiah, and Jonah. Leading Care Ministries, Ron helps others know they belong in God’s family and are deeply loved by Him by providing support during life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. Ron also provides leadership to Daybreak’s Safety & Security Ministry.

Robin Kaplin
Director of Mental Health Ministries
Robin was born and raised near Erie, PA, and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Family Studies. She worked for 12 years for Dauphin County Children & Youth, during which time she obtained a Master’s degree in social work. Robin's passion is in developing a network of ministries, teams and people in order to help others experience true emotional, physical and spiritual healing. Robin also loves being a mom to her two girls: Alexia and Megan. Robin is passionate about reaching and serving our community by providing a safe space for them to find holistic healing centered in the good news of the Gospel.

Kyle Abel
Pastor of Student Ministries
Kyle was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania and graduated from Messiah University with a degree in Christian Ministries. He currently resides in Camp Hill with his wife, Emily, and his daughters, Lucy and Maisie. In his personal time, he enjoys playing and listening to music, watching sports, playing games, and being outdoors. He also loves sci-fi/fantasy media and literature. Kyle has a passion for loving and discipling those who feel like they don’t belong. As Pastor of Student Ministries, he loves leading an amazing team of volunteers who invest in the lives and discipleship of teenagers.

Amanda Skubinna
Central Director of Daybreak Kids
Amanda, a Chicago-area native, is a graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education and holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. She’s married to Rick and together they have a daughter, Abby. When she’s not serving as the Director of Daybreak Kids, Amanda is camping, cooking, or planning the family’s next Disney adventure. She’s passionate about helping kids build a solid Biblical foundation while empowering parents, staff and volunteers to guide them. She’s blessed by the opportunity to blend her love for Jesus with her passion for education into daily ministry.

Director of Worship Ministries
Eric grew up in Fort Worth, TX. He completed a worship residency at Central Wesleyan Church in Holland, MI and has now served more than a dozen years leading worship & discipleship ministries and developing leaders. Eric and his wife Marisa were married in 2016 and have 2 beautiful daughters: Emersyn (Emmy) and Lenora. Eric and his family recently moved from Grand Rapids, MI in 2023 to follow God’s calling to Daybreak and felt immediately connected to the heart and mission of the church. Eric’s passion is to teach a lifestyle of worship that then forms a culture that allows more awareness of the intimacy of God.

Laura Sipala

Laura grew up in Dillsburg and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in English and Writing. Drawn in by the joy and love of the Daybreak family, she and her husband Joe began attending in 2011. Since then, they’ve had 3 kids: Jason, Leo, and Katie. Laura now leads the charge in helping the Daybreak family know and share God's heart for people all over the world - both here in our community and around the globe! You’ve likely also benefitted from Laura’s creating writing and speaking gifts, whether in sermons or creative media. Her favorite way to relax is with newspaper puzzles - Cryptoquips and KenKen are her favorites!

Deb Williams

Deb grew up in Harrisburg, PA & graduated from nursing school as a Registered Nurse. She also has degrees in Missions & Intercultural Studies. In 2017, she earned her certificate in Spiritual Direction. Deb’s favorite thing about Daybreak is the vision to intentionally reach & engage with people to help them take the next step in their relationship with God. Deb is married to John & together they have 3 grown daughters, Sarah, Caitlyn & Rebekah. Deb enjoys a great cup of coffee, browsing the library, the sky at sunset, British humor because it’s dry and understated and she loves spending time with her family.

Eric grew up at Daybreak and holds many great memories from his childhood. He was raised in Dillsburg, where he met his wife, Jess. Eric attended Cairn University in Langhorne, PA where he played Division III basketball, developed a love for Chipotle, & graduated with his B.S. in Bible with a focus on Pastoral Ministry. Eric enjoys sports, fishing, Star Wars, and hiking with Jess & their dog, Winston. Eric joined Daybreak’s staff as our Planting Pastor, and now serves as the Campus Pastor of Daybreak East, a campus he helped plant in Fall of 2025. He also helps with writing our sermon series & leading Daybreak’s Hospitality ministries.

Susie Andrews

Susie grew up in York and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Biblical Studies. She and her husband, Pastor Shawn, have adult twin sons, Caleb and Jacob. A longtime worship leader and artist, Susie has recorded six albums and previously worked as a traveling singer. A lifelong Steelers fan, she has served on staff since 2003 and now serves as Executive Assistant, supporting Worship Ministries.

Kelly Argot
Short-Term Trip Coordinator
Born and raised in Mechanicsburg, Kelly attended Toccoa Falls College and later graduated from HACC with a degree in Human Services. She and her husband Dean have three children and were among Daybreak’s founding members. Kelly now serves in Global Ministries, overseeing short-term trips and connecting with global partners, and also volunteers as a Life Group Leader and Stephen Minister. She enjoys hiking with her family and sharing coffee with friends.

Amanda Benoit
Assistant Director of Student Ministries
Amanda is married to her best friend, Brian, & together they have four children. She enjoys doing something active outside, gardening, or creating some type of art. Amanda & her family have been attending Daybreak since 2018. In 2019, she received a strong call from God to step into serving as a DSM leader. She is passionate about helping students find belonging, grow in their faith, and build a personal relationship with Jesus.

Born and raised in Central PA, Charity attended Bloomsburg University and now lives here with her husband Adam and their two children. She loves Daybreak’s welcoming community and impactful teaching. On staff, she provides administrative support to the Operations and Care Ministries. Outside of Daybreak, she works in real estate and enjoys reading, baking, and teaching yoga.

Todd Hakes
Facilities Coordinator
Todd Hakes grew up in New Cumberland and now lives in East Berlin. He and his wife Diane have been married 38 years and have two children and two grandchildren. Todd has attended Daybreak since 2021 and enjoys working on classic cars, boating, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. As Facilities Coordinator, he oversees maintenance and supports volunteer cleaning and maintenance teams across both campuses.

Jenn grew up in Montoursville and graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She and her husband Rob have three daughters who stay busy with athletics, and their family enjoys kayaking, hiking, camping, and football. Jenn joined the Daybreak staff in 2020 and serves as North Campus Daybreak Kids Director, leading volunteers who love and disciple kids.

Ashley Keith
Media Assistant
Ashley lives in Mechanicsburg with her husband Nick and their two children. A lifestyle family and newborn photographer, she loves capturing authentic, joy-filled moments. What began as volunteering at Daybreak grew into a passion for sharing stories and capturing the heart of the church. As Media Assistant, Ashley uses her creative gifts to help people feel connected and encouraged. Outside of work, she enjoys baking sourdough and spending time outdoors with her family.

A Camp Hill native, Lauren has returned to her hometown area after living in various areas of PA serving a wide variety of communities. Lauren has a BA in Theatre Arts & Psychology and a Master of Public Health. She spent the past decade focusing her passions on preventing youth substance use & educating the public on making healthy choices. Lauren’s work in theatre arts, substance use prevention, & kid ministry is & has always been fueled by her passion to help others lead happy, healthy lives. She is married to her husband Donovan & together they have two daughters, Hannah & Emelyn. As a family, they enjoy relaxing in the creek, hiking through the woods, & having spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen.

Born and raised in East Berlin, Kiefer graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications Media. He and his wife Taylor have attended Daybreak since 2021 and love the strong sense of community. Kiefer enjoys fishing, hunting, sports, coffee, and adventuring with Taylor, and he is passionate about advocating for accessibility. As Communications Coordinator, he helps connect the church family with ministry opportunities.

Jacy grew up in New Cumberland and now lives in Enola with her husband Paul and their three children. She enjoys Marvel movies, The Office, and spending time with her family. Jacy has attended Daybreak since 2021 and was drawn to its Kid Min program and heart for mental health ministry. A social worker and follower of Jesus, she joined staff in 2024 to help people feel seen, loved, and supported through life’s difficult seasons.

Alysha Newingham

With a background in dance and leadership, Alysha brings creativity and organization to her role. A Daybreak attender since 2012 and staff member for nearly five years, she supports multiple ministries behind the scenes and helps keep things running smoothly. Alysha loves helping wherever needed and bringing energy and fun to the team. Outside of work, she enjoys breweries, sporting events, paddle boarding, and spending time with friends and family—preferably with snacks involved.

Originally from San Diego, Gloria graduated from Simpson University with a degree in Liberal Studies and earned her California teaching credential in 2007. She and her husband Mel are raising their four children in Enola after moving to Central Pennsylvania in 2022 and quickly calling Daybreak home. Gloria enjoys gardening, running, reading, and spending time outdoors. In DSM, she coordinates student ministry at North Campus and oversees the Logos middle school curriculum across all campuses.

Born in York, Laura now lives in Dover with her husband Clark of 30+ years, and they have two daughters. She began attending Daybreak in 2021 and loves the authentic spirit of worship each week. Laura serves as Curriculum & Supply Coordinator for Daybreak Kids, using her strong organizational skills to support the ministry, and can often be found serving in the 2–3-year-old class at South Campus. She enjoys hiking, yoga, traveling, and home renovation projects.

Kelli grew up in Mechanicsburg and has attended Daybreak with her husband Frank since 2009. They have two adult sons, Frankie and Zac. Kelli serves as East Campus Daybreak Kids Director and also works as a Database Manager at the Naval Supply Activity in Mechanicsburg. She enjoys cheering on Washington sports teams and creating Christmas cards, a hobby she’s enjoyed for over 20 years.
