Parenting a child with learning, social, emotional, or medical needs is deeply rewarding—but it can also be overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure if your church is equipped to walk with you.
At Daybreak, we believe every child should have the opportunity to experience God’s love in a way that is safe, meaningful, and accessible.
A Safe and Supportive Environment
During both Daybreak Kids and Student Ministries, we intentionally create environments where students of all abilities are welcomed and supported.
That includes:
- One-on-one volunteer support when appropriate
- Sensory break spaces are available at each location
- Volunteers trained to implement individual support plans
- Full Pennsylvania child clearances for every team member
Our goal is simple: to help every child discover and deepen a life-changing relationship with Jesus in a setting that understands and honors their individual needs.
Rest Stop: Respite Events for Families
Four times throughout the school year, we take things one step further by offering FREE Rest Stop events for families of children with special needs. These events provide:
- A safe and fun environment where kids and their siblings enjoy games, crafts, and stories about God’s love
- The opportunity for parents and caregivers to take a well-deserved break
- A trained team who lovingly supports each child’s needs within the context of the program
These typically happen on Saturday afternoons, and registration closes two weeks prior to each event.
