  • Ric Jacobs - Lead Vision Pastor

    Gettysburg Pike Campus Pastor

    A Pennsylvania native, Ric graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 1992 with a degree in Pastoral Studies. He has been married to his wife Jen since 1996, and they have six amazing kids: Eric, Marcus, Bennett, Julia, Annie, and Andre. Ric has been a part of Daybreak's staff since it began in 1999, previously serving in both student ministries and worship arts ministries. He is an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans and large chocolate milkshakes.

  • Shawn Andrews - Lead Equipping Pastor

    & Orrs Bridge Road Campus Pastor

    A native of Ohio, Shawn was raised in Millerstown, PA. He received a BS in Mathematics from Penn State and an MA in Christian Leadership from A.W. Tozer Seminary. Shawn joined the Daybreak staff in 2005 after a number of years working in the Information Technology field. He credits his amazing wife Susie with teaching him how to laugh at himself. His twin sons, Jacob and Caleb, teach him what fatherly love is supposed to be like. 

  • Jason Fickes - Pastor of Operations

    Jason is a Messiah College graduate and lifelong "Mechanicsburg-er." Jason has been a full time staff member since 2005 and currently gives leadership in the operations and connecting ministries. He was Mechanicsburg's original "Jubilee Day Idol," is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and has a love for Chick-fil-A & Mission BBQ. Jason and his incredible wife Brooke have 2 sons: Weston and Everett. 

  • Ned Keene - Pastor of Connecting Ministries & Orrs Bridge Road Campus Pastor Team

    Ned grew up just outside of Baltimore in Bel Air, MD. He has an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and has 23 years of ministry experience from serving at various churches in Central PA. He and his wife Kim have 2 adult children, Gareth who is an officer in the US Navy, and Aidan, who is a professional dancer with a Christian dance company in Ft. Worth, TX. For fun, Ned enjoys watching  the Orioles and Ravens, making his own hot sauce, and learning to speak French.

  • Ron O'Neil - Pastor of Care

    Ron worked at IBM in the security and investigations field before joining Daybreak in 2005. Since then, he earned a BS in Bible from Lancaster Bible College and became ordained through the Alliance. Ron and his wife Leslie have been married since 1982 and have two beautiful grown daughters, Brooke and Lauren, and 5 grandsons, Weston, Everett, Grayson, Isaiah & Jonah. Ron’s ministry passion is to champion the message that all people matter to God and are welcome into His family.

  • Ryan Clarke - Pastor of Kid Ministries

    Ryan leads a talented team that creatively reaches kids for Christ by equipping passionate people to do ministry. He has degrees from Simpson University and Alliance Theological Seminary in Inter-Cultural Studies. Although a former gamer and computer nerd, Ryan currently prefers to spend all of his time with other adults, kids, and especially his energetic family. His favorite part of ministry is watching others get energized by teaching kids, creating new ways to reach kids, and doing science tricks while teaching. Ryan is blessed to be married to his beautiful wife Katybeth and has four kids: twins Micah and Julia, Connor, and James.

  • Kyle Abel - Pastor of Student Ministries

    Kyle was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. He recently graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Christian Ministries. Kyle is passionate about ministry with youth and creating communities in which faith can be explored and the love of Christ can be experienced. He enjoys playing and watching sports, playing the drums, being outdoors, and listening to music. He also loves sci-fi/fantasy media and literature. Kyle married his wife, Emily, on October 22, 2017. 

  • Dan Matarrese - Director of Celebrating Ministries

    Dan grew up in Brooklyn, NY and came to the central PA area to attend Messiah College, where he earned his BS in Accounting in 2006. Dan first came to Daybreak during his time at Messiah and was immediately drawn to our authenticity in worship and in relationships. He loves the beautiful vulnerability and accessibility of our church family. While at Messiah, Dan met his wife, Ashley, who also serves on our staff as the Assistant Director of Kid Min. Together, Dan and Ashley have two boys, Jayden and Eli. Of himself, Dan would say that he is an obsessive New York Rangers fan and that he has successfully raised his boys to be the same.

  • Robin Kaplin - Director of Contributing Ministries

    Robin was born and raised near Erie, PA, and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Family Studies. She worked for 12 years for Dauphin County Children & Youth, during which time she obtained a Master’s degree in social work. Robin's passion is in developing a network of ministries, teams and people in order to help others experience true emotional, physical and spiritual healing. Robin also loves being a mom to her two girls: Alexia and Megan.

  • Susie Andrews

    Director of Visual Arts and Production

    & Assistant to the Lead Pastors

    Susie grew up in York, PA and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Biblical Studies. Susie has been on staff since 2003 and is the Director of Visual Arts and Production & Assistant to the Campus Pastors. She is married to Pastor Shawn and together they have adult twins, Caleb & Jacob. Susie was initially drawn to Daybreak in 1999 after feeling called to be obedient to start a new church that would reach the West Shore. Her favorite things at Daybreak are leading people in worship, creating visual arts and leading Women’s Bible studies. Susie was in many TV commercials as a child and was a traveling singer for years prior to joining staff at Daybreak. She has recorded 6 different CD’s and was a regular singer on television. She is also a lifetime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers! 

  • Kelly Argot

    Director of Global Ministries

    Born & raised in Mechanicsburg, PA, Kelly’s childhood home is just a few miles down the road from Daybreak. She attended Toccoa Falls College for 3 semesters and then graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with a degree in Human Services. Kelly is married to Dean and together they have 3 kids, Alysha, Aaron & Alanna. Kelly and Dean attended Immanuel Alliance church and were called to be a part of the founding group to start Daybreak in 1999. Kelly was drawn to Daybreak because of our focus on the unchurched and our desire to reach those who have not yet experienced a life changing journey with Jesus. Kelly was on staff as part of the Children’s Ministry team from 2001-2005. She returned to staff as our Director of Global Ministries in 2014. Kelly feels blessed to have traveled to 5 out of the 7 continents so far and hopes to make it to all 7! She enjoys reading and building relationships with people.

  • Hannah Britcher

    Assistant Coordinator of Student Ministries

    Hannah grew up in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Music and Worship Leadership. Hannah is passionate about discipling youth, and before coming to Daybreak she worked at Doubling Gap Center, Camp Yolijwa for several summers. Hannah loves the outdoors, a good book, and singing around a campfire.    

  • Leslie Gonze

    Director of Communications

    & Office Services

    Leslie grew up in Oil City, PA and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Spanish Education. She joined the Daybreak staff in 2014 as our Communications Assistant and now serves as our Director of Communications. Leslie and her husband, Christian, have a 3-year-old son, Liam, and are expecting a baby girl in September of 2020. Leslie and Christian were drawn to Daybreak while they were students at Messiah because of its welcoming "come as your are" atmosphere and the application-based approach to Sunday messages. In addition to being on staff, Leslie serves on Daybreak's Tech Team and Global Leadership Team. Together, Leslie and Christian love traveling and seeing different parts of PA, the U.S., and the world.

  • Jenn Hartman

    Good Hope Road Campus Director of Kid Min

    Jenn grew up in Montoursville, Pennsylvania and graduated from Shippensburg University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Jenn joined staff in February 2020 as the Good Hope Road Campus Director of Kid Ministries. Jenn’s favorite thing about Daybreak is the people! She loves worshipping together on Sunday mornings, connecting with those in our community, and she loves the way Daybreak serves others. Jenn is married to Rob and together they have 3 girls, Drew, Caly & Bryn. Jenn enjoys watching her girls play in their respective sports. As a family, they enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping, and watching Football (Mechanicsburg Wildcats and Penn State).

  • Ashley Matarrese

    Assistant Director of Kid Min

    & Office Assistant

    Ashley grew up in Hanover, Pennsylvania and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Elementary & Special Education. She taught in an autistic support classroom for 5 years and obtained her master’s degree in Special Education from Millersville University. Ashley first visited Daybreak during her college years at Messiah and was immediately drawn to the relatability of the messages and the authenticity of the people. While at Messiah, Ashley met her husband Dan, who is also on staff at Daybreak and together they have 2 boys, Jayden and Eli. Ashley has been on staff as our Assistant Director of Kid Ministries since 2013. She is an avid field hockey fan and spends her free time as an assistant field hockey coach at Messiah College.

  • Deb Williams

    Spiritual Formation Coordinator

    Deb grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from nursing school as a Registered Nurse. She also has degrees in Missions & Intercultural Studies. In 2017, she earned her certificate in Spiritual Direction. Deb’s favorite thing about Daybreak is the vision to intentionally reach and engage with people to help them take the next step in their relationship with God. She has been on staff since 2015 as our Spiritual Formation Coordinator. Deb is married to John and together they have 3 grown daughters, Sarah, Caitlyn & Rebekah. Deb enjoys a great cup of coffee, browsing the library, the sky at sunset, British humor because it's dry and understated and loves spending time with her family.
